Contact Form Submissions

When you use the contact form, I collect your name, email address, and message. This information is used solely to respond to your inquiry. It is not sold, shared with third parties, or added to any mailing list without your explicit consent.

If you'd like any information from a form submission removed, email me at legal@aldape.co and I'll take care of it.

Analytics

This site uses Fathom Analytics, a privacy-focused analytics service. Fathom does not use cookies, does not track you across sites, and does not collect personal information. All data is anonymized and aggregated. There is no cookie banner because there are no tracking cookies — Fathom is GDPR, CCPA, and PECR compliant by design.

Third-Party Services

This site relies on trusted third-party providers to operate certain features, including Fathom Analytics for website analytics and Bento for email communications. This site does not use tracking or advertising cookies. Your dark mode preference is saved in your browser's local storage — it never leaves your device and is not accessible to me or any third party.

A short-lived session cookie may be set by the server when you submit the contact form. It exists only long enough to process your request and is not used for tracking.

Email Communications

If you subscribe to email updates, your email address is used solely to send those updates. You can unsubscribe at any time via the link in any email I send. Email subscriptions and delivery are managed through Bento, a third-party email service provider. By subscribing, you acknowledge that your information will be processed by Bento in accordance with their privacy policy.

Data Retention

Contact form submissions are retained only as long as necessary to respond to inquiries, maintain correspondence, or comply with legal obligations. Analytics data collected by Fathom is aggregated and anonymous. There is no personal data attached to it. To request deletion of any personal data I hold, email me at legal@aldape.co.

Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights regarding your personal data — including access, correction, deletion, or the right to object to processing. To exercise any of these rights, reach out at legal@aldape.co.
